House Rules and Guest Information

Important House Rules – Parties, Noise , Smoking, Septic Tank

  • The house is not suitable for parties or loud noise or music and this is not permitted. People come to Pringle Bay to relax, enjoy nature and the peaceful surroundings of the Kogelberg Biospehere, and many of the permanent residents are retired. Enjoy yourself but please be considerate of the neighbours and ensure that there is no excessive noise or loud music, especially after 11 pm. ASK Security Company are authorised to remove guests that break this rule and no refunds will be given.
  • Please do not smoke inside the house – the smoking area is outside on the deck.
  • Fire risks - please ensure that the braai/BBQ and cigarettes are fully extinguished after use and no sparks or coals land on the wooden deck.
  • The toilets drain into a septic tank that relies on bacterial action, so no disinfectants should be used to clean the toilets and no foreign objects/tampons etc. should be flushed down the loo.
  • Swimming pool risks – ensure the pool gate is kept closed and that children and non-swimmers are properly safely supervised around the pool. No diving into the pool please, due to shallow depth.
  • Baboons – be baboon aware! Please do not feed, tease or injure them, directly or indirectly.
  • Pets – well behaved dogs and non-vicious breeds are welcome by arrangement.
  • Snakes – they are active in warm weather, so be careful in the fynbos or thick bush, including dogs.
